Trabuco Hills Invite Recap and Thank You Note

It Truly Takes a Village

The  28th annual Trabuco Hills Invitational and Distance Carnival is in the books!

Our two-day event produced the following accolades:

132 Elite Marks
Four new CA No. 1 marks
Five No. 2s
27 top-10s
4 New Meet Records

Milesplit announced and live-streamed the event and HD Runners Co. had 6 cameras around the track to give an edited recap of all the joy and drama of the weekend. Our own athletes excelled in almost all areas and events as they continued to grow into some of the best Orange County has to offer. The weather was perfect (it always is) and most of the meet seemed to go extremely well on our Easter Holiday "Arcadia Tune Up" meet that saw 95 schools and close to 4500 entries with 58 distance races on Friday night from 3:30 to 10:00pm. That's a lot of laps!

Multiple coaches made an effort to affirm our efforts in running one of the best meets in CA by saying, "This is the best meet of the year," and another said, "We look forward to this meet every year."

None of this would have been possible without YOU!

It brings so much joy to the coaching staff, the school, and most importantly, the athletes, to see you volunteer your time and efforts to make this meet possible. Every coach, parent, alumni, and volunteer athlete helped out with a smile on their face for these two days of organized chaos. Mavis Lee continued to lead us all through her example and excellence in organization, as well as the multiple families that did so much to make this all possible. We wish we could do more than say Thank You.

One coach emailed Coach Kelly and me this past week and said, "What we do in life echoes for eternity." After the week of laughter from this great quote from Gladiator, I would like to tell you that volunteering your time and effort speaks volumes to your teenager, and it encourages the coaching staff of your support. Of course, your teenager might not say, "Thank you," but they will one day.

If nothing else, one parent told me that they would gladly work the meet every year just to be entertained by Coach Kelly and Coach Ayers on the Walkie Talkies again!

On behalf of our coaching staff, we Thank you!

Onward,

Coach Ayers and Coach Kelly
