Hello and happy last week of school! The Boys and Girls Track Teams have returned from a very hot weekend (temps over 100°!) in Clovis, where they competed in the California State Track & Field Championships. Friday night featured the State Prelims, where athletes had to qualify for Saturday’s Finals and our athletes rose to the occasion on the state’s biggest stage! Here are the highlights: Holly Barker (12) – 3rd place overall in the 3200 meters Evangeline Williams (9) – Broke her own school record in the mile with a time of 4:43, making her the 2nd fastest freshman in the country and placed 5th overall Garrett Higgins (12) – 20th place in Pole Vault Dylan Jubak (12) – 13th overall in the 1600 meters Girls 4x400 Relay – The team of Marley Young (9), Colbie Webster (10), Emma Ortiz (11), and Abby Patton (12) shattered the school record by 6.5 seconds and finished 9th overall in California

Track & Field Records & Top Ten List A huge congratulations to Garrett Higgins, Dylan Jubak, and Holly Barker – the newest inductees into the Trabuco Track & Field Hall of Fame! This has been one of the most successful seasons in school history for both the boys and girls programs. Coach Kelly, Coach Clemons, and Coach Bendis continue to show they are among the very best coaches in the nation. We are exhausted, grateful, proud and already looking forward to what’s next.
