Sophomore Kylee Wehrly and Senior Bailee Margolis highlighted our girls' varsity track and field team at the South Coast League Track And field Finals
on Friday night. Wehrly captured her second consecutive 100 meter title in 12.45, while MIT bound Margolis won the 3200 meters in 10:59.81. Other Varsity competitors qualifying for CIF and medaling were:
Junior Haunani Pedro second in the discus(131-3) and fourth in the shot put(38-2). Junior Allison Kantor third in the long jump(17-6).
Senior Jolie Nelson, who qualified for CIF and medaled at third place in the 800 meters, running 2:20.24. Senior Sabrina Herrmann third in the 3200 meters(11:04.64). Junior Niguel Ziegler third in the pole vault(10'). 4x 100 meter relay team of Kylee Wehrly, Kasey Sandoval(11), Catherine Rice(12), and Allison Kantor finished third, and ran the second fastest time in school history at 48.55. Senior Madeline Allman third in the triple jump(34-10.75).
Other athletes medaling were:
Senior Sweena Mangal fourth in the 1600 meters(5:17.66). Sophomore Camdyn Roberts fourth in the pole vault(10'). Junior Sophia Rathor fourth in the triple jump(34-8). Sophomore Makenna Duda fifth in the 1600 meters(5:19.63).
Frosh/Soph League Finals Our girls' frosh-soph track and field team had numerous medal winners Friday night at South Coast League Finals. They are:
Freshman Natalie Regalado- second in the 1600 meters(5:19.64) and third in the 800 meters(2:29.08). Freshman Trinidee Stewart- third in the 1600 meters(5:20.01) and third in the 3200 meters(11:50.39). Sophomore Michela DeLuca fourth in the 100 meters at 13.28. Sophomore Bryanna De Vaney fourth in the 400 meters at 1:01.48 and fifth in the 200 meters at 27.72. Freshman Cayla Porter fourth in the 3200 meters at 12:27.41. 4x 100 meter relay team of Christine Vu(10), Michela DeLuca, Ella Strenn(9), and Charlotte Gooseman(10) second in 51.88.
